The sparring style "Speed Sparring" was developed in April 2007 by Gilbert Kapkowski.

Speed Sparring may be called  "Martial Arts Fencing". It is a modification of other martial arts sparring styles like TKD Olympic Style or Kickboxing Pointfighting (Point Stop).
For the competition standard safety equipment is used.

    SPEED SPARRING – CLASSIC Style
    SPEED SPARRING – KICKFIGHT
    SPEED SPARRING – BOXEN

    1. SPEED SPARRING – TAEKWONDO Olympic Style
    2. SPEED SPARRING – KICKBOX Style

In all modifications of Speed Sparring competitors shall NOT use very hard power in order to make a K.O.
POINTS will be scored for correct point attacks or for leaving the competiton area left or right or backwards.

    Competition Rules  2.0.

    1.COMPETITION AREA
The competition area consists of BLUE and RED coloured martial arts mats with a thickness of 10mm or 20mm.
Mats for Judo or Karate (Red-Green) or other functional equipment may also be used for the match.

The competition area is measured 6 x 6 meter = 36 mats of 1x1 meter.

    2.MATCH TIME
The match time is usually 90 seconds without any break.
The clock will only be stopped after a “time-out” command of the referee.

    3.MATCH
Competitor blue and red on start position. The referee declares the start command (fight).
The match is running and will be stopped at the following events:

A –  Correct Point of one or both competitors
B –  Leaving the competition area (left or right)
C –  Leaving the match zone backwards
    D –  Important break
            f. e. holding the opponent, injury, knockdown, foul etc.
E –  End of match by points
F –  End of match time

    4.RESULT and SCORING Points
Points and deduction points will be awarded by the referee and the point judge at the jury desk.

Winner of the match is the competitor who first gains 9 Points or the highest number of Points
during the regular match time. Modifications are possible = less or more than the maximum of 9 Points.

In the event of a draw with a minimum of 3:3 Points the match will be continued and ends after the first successful
attack. Additional match time = the regular time.

The winner by a score with less than 3 Points wins the match
    – but this competitor will be disqualified for the next round.

    + POINTS

1 Point  = correct boxing hit (to the head or body)
2 Points = correct kick to the body
3 Points = correct kick to the head
4 Points = correct jump kick to the head

1 Point  extra = Opponent leaves with both feet the match zone

    – POINTS

1 Point  minus = Attack after stop command of the referee
1 Point  minus = Attacking a fallen opponent
1 Point  minus = Foul attack (to not allowed parts of the body)

Disqualification in the event of 3 negative Points

    5.POWER OF HITS and KICKS, KNOCK-DOWN, K.O.
The effective power of hits and kicks is not important for scoring points.
    Only CORRECT actions will score.

For a Knock-Down no additional point will be awarded.

In the event of a K.O. it is most important what has happened during the match

If the K.O. was the result of a correct action = f. e. opponent is running towards the hit or the kick,
    the attacker wins the match.

If the jury decides the K.O. was the result of a foul or very hard contact
    the attacker will be disqualified.

In the event of a disqualification the winner does not need the minimum of 3 Points to reach the next round.

    6.INJURY
In the event of injury of one or both competitors the jury will decide
based on the same rules as described in part 5.

The jury may also make a decision based on the scored points at the time of injury.

    7.ADDITIONAL RULES
All other rules are based on tournament information and the regulations of ETF.

In the event of a regular protest the ETF Jury Committee will decide finally.
